Welcome to One Mile Bakery Cardiff

Rugby player turned baker Nick Macleod comes from a Rhiwbina family of passionate foodies. “I have my parents and grandparents to thank for my obsession with food. From an early age I have been surrounded by the wonderful smells of freshly baked cakes and breads and home cooked, seasonal dishes. Most of my fondest memories relate to food, from fresh crêpes on holiday in Brittany as a child, to our tradition of leek and potato soup and hot dogs on bonfire night and more recently some incredible Michelin star meals with my wife.”

We deliver one mile from our location in The One Mile Bakery – Cardiff

Each One Mile Bakery offers a weekly delivery service to local subscribers within their Mile. In Cardiff, Nick delivers bread – with the option of adding soup and jam – to subscribers by bike every Tuesday evening (5-7pm). He covers Rhiwbina village and surrounding area as shown on the map.

Subscriptions run for a month (four deliveries) or three months (twelve deliveries) and celebrate the very best of stunning local, seasonal produce and ingredients.

Each week brings something different, so a subscription offers a chance to sample a wide range of artisan breads, seasonal soups and stunning preserves. It’s all handmade at home, and delivered to your door in person. The FAQ page gives more information about how it all works.
