Refund Policy

CLASSES

Due to the small-scale nature of our bakeries and the classes we teach, we adhere to the following policy with regard to refunds/cancellations for class bookings, depending on notice period:

  • Less than one week before the class, or no-shows on the day: no refund or transfer is offered.
  • More than one week but less than eight weeks before the class, if we are able to resell your place, we offer a gift voucher to use for another class or a transfer to another date (subject to availability). An administrative fee of £25 will be charged.
  • More than eight weeks, you have the option of transferring to another class (subject to availability). An administrative fee of £25 will be charged.

If you are unable to attend, friends or family can attend in your place, with 24 hours’ notice. You will need to give us the name and contact details of the person attending, and advise us of any dietary requirements.

If you are unable to attend due to illness, we will need to see documentary evidence of this before being able to offer a transfer to another date.

For private group bookings, no refund or transfer is possible with less than six weeks’ notice. If a member of your group has to cancel, someone else can attend on their behalf with no notice (but do advise of any dietary requirements), but the minimum charge for a private group is 4 people even if your party is less than that on the day.

SUBSCRIPTIONS

If for any reason you need to cancel a subscription (e.g a house move out of the Mile), please give us at least a week’s notice and we can amend your account accordingly to issue a refund. Without this period notice we will have to charge another week.

If you take a break (e.g. for holidays), please give us notice well in advance, so we can skip the required number of weeks on your account. If we deliver to you and you have failed to let us know in advance that you are away, we will have to charge you for the delivery. Similarly, on the delivery day, if you are running late, please call or text to let us know and we will do our best to deliver but cannot guarantee this as we have routes mapped out for deliveries.

It was really lovely to meet the other participants, and the group interaction was great. The structure of the day  afforded us time to really get to know each other and share experiences. The food that you prepared for us over the day was absolutely gorgeous. I really do appreciate the considerable effort that you have put into this training session, for which my heartfelt thanks.

Scandinavian Baking featured in BBC Good Food magazine’s Best Food Experiences in UK

I love BBC Good Food, both the magazine and the website – it’s one of those places you can trust, for recipes and everything they cover. So, it was amazing when one of their writers got in touch about coming along to the Scandinavian Baking class I’d just launched for a piece they were putting
