This class is all about amazing bakes from Devon, celebrating the best of savoury and sweet traditional baking in the county. In a fun, hands-on class you’ll learn to bake savoury scones made with a stunning local cheese, a beautiful cider loaf and Devonshire splits (also known as Chudleighs or cutrounds), those dainty delights crying out to be filled with clotted cream and homemade jam. You will have lots of gorgeous bakes to take home, plus the recipes and confidence to recreate them in your own kitchen. You’ll enjoy a delicious two-course lunch with wine or local cider or a soft drink, and snacks through the day, all based around the very best seasonal ingredients from local producers and suppliers to keep food miles to a minimum.
