Hello, I’m Elisabeth, founder of One Mile Bakery and now launching the first OMB in Somerset. When I delivered my first order of homemade bread, soup and jam by bike in Cardiff in 2012, I never dreamed that there would one day be a floury family of One Mile Bakeries in different locations across the UK. As soon as we got the keys to our new home in Somerset, I started plotting about opening my One Mile Bakery here. We’ve got some serious building work happening at the moment, so until that’s done I’m going to be teaching baking classes at the beautiful Meadowside Farm Kitchen – a professional kitchen and teaching space, just outside our village. Classes launch in July and there’s currently an Early Bird sale for bookings made before 16 June. As with every One Mile Bakery, it’s going to be an adventure!
