Firstly I hope you and your family are safe and well and are adjusting to the ‘new world’ we find ourselves in. There’s no denying that this is a bizarre and uniquely challenging situation for all but as long as we are all safe, well and optimistic we’ll be fine.
I wanted to quickly outline my plans for the coming weeks and months as I’ve received a number of queries relating to my baking classes and deliveries.
BAKING CLASSES: In accordance with government guidelines in relation to social distances and avoiding the congregation of groups, I’ve postponed all baking classes. Those who have already booked onto a class have already received an email in relation to what will be happening and to also outline the options available to them. If you are thinking about booking onto a class then please watch this space as there will obviously have to be some tinkering of class dates once we reach the other side of this situation, with those who have already booked onto classes been given priority to re-book first and thus fill some of the spaces for any new class dates (I hope that makes sense). My baking classes are always a celebration of amazing food, drink and friendships but this perhaps will have a new meaning and emphasis when the classes restart. I look forward to welcoming guests around my kitchen table once again soon.
DELIVERIES: Well the word has certainly got out and I’ve been inundated with requests for deliveries and due to this huge demand I’ve now extended my delivery area far past my mile. I’ve had requests from relatives in the south of the country to provide bread for elderly parents and relatives near me, I’ve had requests for 20 loaves a week from one customer to requests for daily deliveries from others. This increased volume and the distance required to travel to get to those who desperately want to get involved in the OMB Tadcaster community now means I will not be delivering all of my bread, sweet bakes, soups and jams on bike – sorry, I’m fit but not that fit! I’ve reduced the options available to new subscribers for my Thursday morning deliveries , although the ‘originals’ (those amazing folk in Tadcaster who first supported me at the launch of my business – you know who you are x) can rest assured that they’ll still get the subscriptions options they signed up. The options available are:
A. Classic Bread one month subscription £14
B Classic Bread and Sweet Bakes one month subscription £34
As stated, this rather reduced menu is simply to ensure I can deliver consistently high quality produce to the large volume of customers weekly. Enquiries should be made via email (see link on home page).
Many thanks for your ongoing support at this time and I wish you and your family well. Phil and Family x
