Refund Policy

CLASSES

Due to the small-scale nature of our bakeries and the classes we teach, we adhere to the following policy with regard to refunds/cancellations for class bookings, depending on notice period:

  • Less than one week before the class, or no-shows on the day: no refund or transfer is offered.
  • More than one week but less than eight weeks before the class, if we are able to resell your place, we offer a gift voucher to use for another class or a transfer to another date (subject to availability). An administrative fee of £25 will be charged.
  • More than eight weeks, you have the option of transferring to another class (subject to availability). An administrative fee of £25 will be charged.

If you are unable to attend, friends or family can attend in your place, with 24 hours’ notice. You will need to give us the name and contact details of the person attending, and advise us of any dietary requirements.

If you are unable to attend due to illness, we will need to see documentary evidence of this before being able to offer a transfer to another date.

For private group bookings, no refund or transfer is possible with less than six weeks’ notice. If a member of your group has to cancel, someone else can attend on their behalf with no notice (but do advise of any dietary requirements), but the minimum charge for a private group is 4 people even if your party is less than that on the day.

SUBSCRIPTIONS

If for any reason you need to cancel a subscription (e.g a house move out of the Mile), please give us at least a week’s notice and we can amend your account accordingly to issue a refund. Without this period notice we will have to charge another week.

If you take a break (e.g. for holidays), please give us notice well in advance, so we can skip the required number of weeks on your account. If we deliver to you and you have failed to let us know in advance that you are away, we will have to charge you for the delivery. Similarly, on the delivery day, if you are running late, please call or text to let us know and we will do our best to deliver but cannot guarantee this as we have routes mapped out for deliveries.

I can’t tell you how much fun the day was. We laughed and chatted our way throughout. Boudicca was a fabulous host and completely natural with her teaching. This Introduction To Baking course is far from pretentious and stuffy. It’s a laid-back affair which felt like I was hanging out with my friends doing something fun.

Afternoon Tea Week

Coming up is Afternoon Tea Week (12th-18th August).  A wonderful excuse to celebrate this quintessentially British tradition. A great wikifact that I found is that there is evidence to suggest that the tradition of eating bread with cream and jam already existed at Tavistock Abbey in Devon in the 11th century.  Delicious. In Devon we
